Think twice before choosing Trump to lead America with no filter

Despite the controversy he brews, Republican Candidate Donald Trump won all but one primary so far. Most recently, he won Nevada by 45.9%, followed by Rubio (23.9%) and Cruz (21.4%).

Despite the controversy he brews, Republican Candidate Donald Trump won all but one primary so far. Most recently, he won Nevada by 45.9%, followed by Rubio (23.9%) and Cruz (21.4%).

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump is at the top spot in the Republican Race currently with more than 40 percent of GOP voters. At the Iowa caucuses he was second to Ted Cruz (28%) with 24%, and Trump won first in New Hampshire with 35.3%, followed by Kasich (15.7%), Cruz with (11.7%) and Bush (11.1%). Trump and the other candidates are now campaigning in North Carolina as they get ready for their primary vote.

Currently, the Republican candidates are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, and John Kasich. The Democrat candidates are Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders.

There are a lot of GOP candidates who are running for president this year, but by far the most outrageous of them is Donald Trump. He says things that others wouldn’t say if they were in his position, and because of that, he has gained a lot of followers as well as haters.
Some admire his courage and others think that he shouldn’t say most of what he says. For example on June 16th during the presidential announcement speech he made the statement, “The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc.”

This is not acceptable because I don’t think he should just say this because Mexicans are coming to the U.S., and that they all do bad things. Criminals and drug dealers have always been here even before Mexican immigration. It just makes these people look bad, as if all Mexican immigrants do this.
And because Ted Cruz beat Trump, Trump admits that skipping the final debate may have caused him to be in second place. He may be starting to realize that he can’t just do or say what he wants in such a position. Maybe people can see that he is just an entertainer and doesn’t really think about the remarks he makes.

Is that who we want for President?

According to msnbc reporter Anna Brand’s article, Donald Trump: I would force Mexico to build border wall” at http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/donald-trump-i-would-force-mexico-build-border-wall”We’re gonna get the wall built…and Mexico’s gonna pay for the wall.” Trump said this at an interview that aired on CNN’s “State of the Union” June 28, 2015. He said, “You force them because we give them a fortune. Mexico makes a fortune because of us. A wall is a tiny little peanut compared to that. I would do something very severe unless they contributed or gave us the money to build the wall. And they’re going to be happy about it…because the cost of the wall is peanuts compared to the kind of money they’re making. Mexico is becoming the new China.”
His wall would cost 8 billion dollars and former Mexican President Felipe Calderon had a lot to say about it.

“Mexican people, we are not going to pay any single cent for such a stupid wall, and they need to know that,” Calderon had said. According Holly Ellyat’s February 8, 2016 article on cnbc.com entitled “Mexico won’t pay a cent for Trump’s ‘stupid wall’” at http://www.cnbc.com/2016/02/08/mexico-wont-pay-single-cent-for-trumps-stupid-wall.html.

More recently Trump said some things about his competitor Ted Cruz on Tuesday February 9, 2016 when he repeated an insult that someone from the crowd had said. He claims that he was only repeating a word from the crowd and just having “fun”.
These are the kinds of things that make people question if he is a good president for our country. Even Obama has had enough of this type of behavior and has responded at a news conference in California after a meeting with Southeast Asian leaders.

“I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president, and the reason is that I have a lot of faith in the American people,” said President Obama. “Being president is a serious job. It’s not hosting a talk show, or a reality show.” According to Stephen Collinson’s and Theodore Schaefer’s article,” Barack Obama: I don’t think Donald Trump will be President”, on CNN at http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/16/politics/obama-donald-trump-president/index.html.

If you can vote, do, but consider if you want a president who is prideful and inconsiderate of other people’s feelings and just says what he wants to get people riled up.

Although he has a lot of positive things about him, like his determination, confidence and honesty which are qualities of a leader. He should be more realistic about accusations he makes and think before he speaks.
