Junior Taelor Hawkins, Senior Jacob Shipley, Junior Lauren Kinney and Sophomore Brooke Duren attended Dallas Morning News Day seminars.

Over half of our staff attended the 25th Annual High School Journalism Day Seminar today, where students attended seminars on digital media and sports writing, and Junior Lauren Kinney met NBC’s Dallas Anchor Meredith Land.

Land was the key-note speaker, and spoke about how she got started as a reporter and her advice was to be yourself and work hard. Senior Entertainment Writer Jacob Shipley met fellow entertainment writer Tiney Ricciardi from GuideLive, The Dallas Morning News Entertainment section.
