The Mane Post staff received 6 writing awards and 3 video/broadcast awards at the 2017 Interscholastic League Press Conference, which is part of UIL last month. They competed against 3A schools for writing, and 1A-4A schools for video.The list of awards is as follows. Their articles and videos can be seen here.

Student shares his perspective of skateboarding in Fort Worth.
In the State TAPPS 4A Art competition held April 4th, Suzy Lindem’s art students came in 5h place. They placed in the seek and sketch categories, pottery category, photography category, painting and drawing on canvas, graphite, and watercolors were all winners.
The winners were Juniors Garret Page, Marissa Gates, Evelyn Morgan, Senior Melody Burris and Sophomore Emily Brudi.
