Senior Signs for Pittsburg State University-Volleyball
Senior Taylor Wright signed Friday with Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS to play volleyball.
Wright began playing for the Grace Prep Lady Lions Varsity team under Head Coach Sandy Kelm her freshman year.
In her time here, she was named All Tournament-Mansfield ISD, Granbury ISD, and TAPPS State, District: Offensive Player of the Year. She was also named 1st Team, 1st Team All-State, and Team Captain of the TAPPS 4A State Volleyball Champions.
As Captain, Wright helped lead her team of 9 girls total to win the TAPPS 4A State Title this year.
“Taylor was a great team leader and was key in our winning state this season,” said Coach Kelm. “She stayed focused and helped the team focus through all the ups and downs of the season. She is truly deserving of all the accolades and honors.”
All the skinned knees, iced shoulders etc. are proven legitimate with her stats. They include 678 kills, which is 5.34 per game, 563 digs, which is 4.43 per game, and a primary passer rating of 2.55.
