Tennis readies for district with top-ranked player in midst

Grace Prep tennis, coached by Jordan Dvoracek, is heating up as the team is heading on to the District tournament in Arlington Texas on March 23.

Come out to watch the whole team, and cheer on Senior Jonathan Sheehy signed to play for Abilene Christian University in November is ranked 7th in the state of Texas, who is expected to win, and is one to watch.

Sheehy, ranked 62 in the nation has an overall record of 41-22 according to tennisrecruiting.net.

Doubles team Seniors Nathan Labenz and Nick Singleton, who played well at state last year, are preparing for a winning streak as well. The boys’ team adds Junior Nathan Holm, Freshmen Sam Hall and Stirling Clay.

The girls team, have strong returning players Senior Amanda Walraven and Junior Macy Noe as well and Freshman Jessica Friberg.
