Students received a treat this Christmas at Revolution of Grace from our music department.
Our monthly student worship began with the Revolution of Grace Worship team, led by Freshman Jake Boilla, Juniors Kay Lee Sedwick and MiKayla Thornton, and Senior Jonathan McNary. Violinist

Sophomore Harrison Young, pianist Sophomore Roman Scott, serenaded us, with Carol of the Bells.

The GPA choir led by Joy Hill, then performed two songs, including a short version of Handel’s Messiah.

An added surprise known only to his family, came when Channel 11’s Sportscaster Bill Jones presented Senior Chandler Wilberding with the McDonald’s High School Scholar of the Month Award.

“He had no idea,” said Freshman Ellie Wilberding, Chandler’s sister. “It was the hardest secret to keep.”

Chandler won, based off of his grade point average and his community service.
In an interview with Jones to be aired Dec. 22 between 9a.m. and 4p.m., Chandler said, “I’ve done Miracale League and worked at Mission Arlington and other things.”

We know Chandler serves here in NHS, Key Club and on the Baseball team service projects, while playing varsity basketball and baseball, and maintaining a 4.0.

Receiving a check for $1,000, Chandler said, “It’s incredible!”
