Alumnus NBA Member Jamal Branch stops by for visit

2011 Graduate Jamal Branch with Coach Chad Pegues.

Visit from 2011 Alumn Jamal Branch, who played for the LA Lakers Minor League team called the D-Fenders, and is now living in Houston. He stopped by here to say hello before heading to the Dallas Mavericks to work out on an invitation from them.

This is his first time to see the new gym, and we are honored to snap some photos of him shooting some baskets in it now, as his graduating class helped raise funds even back then for our future facility.

“This gym is amazing; I’m so happy for the school,” Branch said as he looked around the gym, shaking Coach Melcon Jones’ hand and taking a photo with Coach Chad Pegues. He also took time to meet Senior Abbey Ezmerlian, who is playing basketball here for her first year.

Branch is a stand-out player for his work ethic, phenominal shooting, and impeccable integrity. While here, he led the GPA lions to a state championship his Senior year.
